Paytm launches 'Covid-19 Vaccine Finder'

Digital payments and e-commerce business Paytm launched its new platform ‘Covid-19 Vaccine Finder’ on its Mini App store on Thursday to help people find a time and place to get vaccinated.

As part of its wider efforts towards Covid-19 relief, Paytm’s new service enables its Mini App store users to find available vaccine time-slots in their local area by entering their pin code or district details, their preferred date, and their age range. If there are not any slots available, users can receive real-time alerts to notify them when slots become available. 
 
“The automated process reduces the hassle and ordeal of refreshing the platform for new slots repeatedly,” said the business in a statement, ET Bureau reported.

“The data is sourced on a real-time basis from the CoWIN API where a slot can be booked to take the vaccination.”
 
“We believe that with the combined efforts of government, organisations, and citizens, we are on the right track to recovery,” said a Paytm spokesperson, the Press Trust of India reported.

“Our priority is to build collective resistance to the deadly virus as a nation, thus catalysing the process of herd immunity.”
