Paytm Mall’s PWC pursues partnerships to take Indian products abroad

Paytm Mall-owned subsidiary Paytm Wholesale Commerce has entered into partnerships with businesses selling 'Made in India' products with the aim of retailing Indian goods internationally.

Paytm Mall’s trading house PWC plans to sell Made in India products in international markets including Africa, the Middle East, the U.S., and Southeast Asia, the Press Trust of India reported. PWC has already entered into several partnerships with businesses and is searching for more.
 
“We are scouting for buyers through intermediaries, and trade shows,” a Paytm spokesperson said, the Press Trust of India reported.

“Once a query comes in, we go back to our suppliers or commodity market for sourcing as per buyer specifications. We build our costs and quote to buyer to meet his target prices, if any. On quotation acceptance, we go ahead with processing the order.”
 
“We have entered into the exports with an objective to offer a range of Indian products across the global markets with super efficiency,” said Sanjeev Misra, Paytm Mall’s senior vice president.

“Our efforts are to become the single largest gateway for global consumers to buy Made in India products. We have a well-established network of suppliers and are deploying our team across the geography.”
 
Paytm Mall is eyeing Rs 500 crore ($75.2 million) gross merchandise value in its first two years of operations. The business’ plan to tie up with Indian brands for global export is intended to increase revenue and leverage international opportunities.
