Payal Singhal and Sangeeta Boochra join forces for jewellery line

Ready-to-wear and lifestyle brand Payal Singhal has collaborated with Jaipur-based jewellery designer Sangeeta Boochra to launch a collection of ‘India modern’ jewels at a garden party event in Mumbai. 

The collaborative jewellery line is a contemporary take on traditional jewellery craft techniques and is designed for everything from everyday to event wear. The collection has launched across all Payal Singhal and Sangeeta Boochra brick-and-mortar stores as well as on both brands’ dedicated e-commerce stores, Payal Singhal announced on Facebook. 

“To launch our first-ever jewellery collaboration with Sangeeta Boochra, we wanted to create a vibe that reflected the ‘India Modern’ spirit of the line,” the brand announced on Facebook. “We turned to our trusty long-time décor collaborators to give the soiree an Indian Summer vibe. Each al fresco cabana at Gallops was treated as a room to showcase a different line of the collection, with a focus on our three favourite Indian flowers- yellow genda, rajnigandha and mogra. These were complemented with wooden and jute elements to allow the jewellery to pop, with some décor accents that Payal has collected over the years.”

Craft techniques which feature in the collection include polki and kundan work with semi-precious stones and beaded necklaces. With monochrome and natural stone tones, the collection mixes the traditional know-how of centuries-old jewellery house Sangeeta Boochra with Payal Singhal’s more whimsical aesthetic.
