Indessential, is part of a trilogy, part one of which was unveiled last month. The collection includes full-length saris and a range of little saris from work to dinner wear priced from Rs 10000 (approx $150) onwards.

The part two of the collection has colour blocked silhouettes in her signature shapes which have been redesigned in textiles. The collection includes a range of saris made of silk, silk twill and skill with linen developed at the weaving cluster of Phulia in West Bengal.

The designer’s trilogy collection will also include a range of Indian wardrobe essentials like kurtas and ethnic skirts among others.

“Our pret offering this season is the second part of our Indessential trilogy and as always, an extension of what we believe in. The brand’s focus has always been considered clothing for women that care more about personal style than fashion. The idea has always been, to pen a vocabulary that is relevant now and one that can become a reference for the future”, Payal said in a statement.

Payal Khandwala will also launch an extensive range of hand woven dupattas this season. All the hand woven silks, linens and brocades will be crafted by the brand’s artisans in Bhagalpur, West Bengal and Benaras.

Payal Khandwala launched her eponymous label in 2012. She has showcased her collections at top fashion weeks including Lakme Fashion week.
