On the last day of LMIFW, Pawan Sachdeva showed a collection that was wearable but still made a bold statement. With a 1970s-inspired colour palette brightened up with hints of neon and futuristic detailing, Sachdeva explored a modern take on retro fashion. More casual pieces included hoodies and turtle neck jumpers and more extravagant looks included a striped Panama-style suit.

The Fashion Design Council of India wrote on its social media that the collection “fuses an array of neon tones like orange, green and yellow with askew cuts overlapped with a play of stripes and checks on belted garments [bringing] perfect fits and finessed detailing.”

Celebrity Radhika Apte closed the show for Sachdeva and walked alongside the designer. Apte wore a black bondage-inspired suit and she looked androgynous and modern as a female showstopper for a menswear collection.

LMIFW ran from March 13 to 16 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi and was organised by the FDCI. The biannual fashion week concluded with a two-day Designer Stockroom sale from March 17 to 18.
