Pause was set up by Neha Modi and Neha Tham and was previously retailing from its own e-commerce store as well as featuring in other boutiques. The brand launched its first physical store on September 9 and a host of fashion bloggers and style influencers attended the launch party to browse the label’s signature chic casual wear.

The shop is situated in the Pali Village area of Bandra West, Mumbai, which is a quiet, suburban neighbourhood that boasts many other quirky Indian labels. The shop itself has a modern structure that is given a natural touch by an array of plants that drape over its façade which also features a moss covered wall.

After celebrating the shop’s opening, a variety of events have already been planned to take place at the space. The fastest upcoming event is a styling session with celebrity stylists Aastha Sharma and Mohit Rai which will take place on September 16 at the store.

Pause has consistently committed to producing garments that are environmentally friendly and uses sustainable materials such as wood pulp. The brand focuses on earthy tones and loose shapes as well as denim and urges their customers to “take a pause” and relax in their casual attire.
