The new store is located inside Patanjali Yogapeeth Phase 1 in Haridwar and will offer around 3,600 varieties of clothes from yoga wear to sportswear for both men and women.

The company claims to have used medicinal plants and herbs in the manufacturing of the garments and aims to generate employment opportunities across India in the textile industry through its apparel brand.

Commenting on the occasion, Baba Ramdev in a statement said, "For making these garments, we have followed the best parameters, including all kinds of herbs and medicinal plants. Patanjali’s venture into the textile sector is intended to revive the textile industry and provide work to the weavers."

Patanjali had entered the branded apparel segment in November 2017 with the launch of its first apparel and accessory store for ‘Patanjali Paridhan’ in New Delhi. It was followed by others in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Aurangabad, and Meerut. The Haridwar store is the brand’s sixth store in India in the past two months.

Patanjali is planning to open 100 stores with an aim to generate revenue of Rs 1000 crore (approx $137 million) from its apparel brand by next fiscal.
