Patanjali reported revenue of Rs 1,793 crore for the first quarter while its revenue for the July-September period was Rs 1,769 crore.

The company did not share its net profit figures for both the quarters of the current fiscal year. Patanjali has restructured its business this year and the above figures are only for the Ayurved segment which mostly includes personal care and beauty products.

"The most remarkable and noticeable thing is that Patanjali Ayurved has made a comeback. It has achieved the highest ever H1 figure in its history," Patanjali spokesperson S K Tijarawala told PTI.

On the outlook, Tijarawala said: "It would be almost double of what we have in H1. During the last fiscal, the company achieved revenue of Rs 2,388 crore in the third quarter and Rs 3,698 crore in the last quarter. Patanjali has consolidated and strengthened the supply chain. It has come out from the negative impact of GST and demonetisation.”

Patanjali has seen ups and downs over the last two years. Its revenue reached a high of Rs 10,500 crore in the 2017 financial year but decreased to Rs 8,135 in the 2018 financial year.

The company had attributed the decline to the introduction of the goods and services tax in 2017. Patanjali continues to remain optimistic about future growth after countering the negative impact of GST.
