Papa Don't Preach by Shubhika launches first ever menswear line
Papa Don't Preach by Shubhika has stepped into menswear for the very first time with the launch of occasion wear collection ‘The Groom’. The luxury womenswear brand has translated its pastel maximalism for the modern Indian man.
The brand’s first foray into menswear is available to shop at its Kala Ghoda store in Mumbai with consultations available for grooms-to-be, Papa Don't Preach by Shubhika announced on Instagram. The collection complements the brand’s latest womenswear offering and features classic menswear tailoring reimagined in pearlised, pastel hues with tactile, glittering floral and decorative embellishments.
“It’s the first time I’ve designed for the groom,” designer Shubhika Sharma wrote on Instagram. “I waited… for the world to embrace maximalism. To celebrate colour, florals, and bold embellishments on jackets and bandhgalas. So far we’ve seen men play it terribly safe. Luckily it’s changing now and the grooms are unafraid to stand out and step into the spotlight besides their glorious queens. I’m so excited that Papa Don’t Preach is ready for this!”
Papa Don't Preach by Shubhika retails from its dedicated e-commerce store, flagship store in Mumbai, and with multi-brand retailers both online and offline. The brand is known for its bright, playful designs and opulent approach to embellishments.
