Pankaj & Nidhi showcase geometric collection 'Kaleido' at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week
Design duo Pankaj and Nidhi showcased a bright, geometrical womenswear collection named ‘Kaleidoscope’ on Wednesday at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week featuring an updated take on retro aesthetics.
Kaleidoscope was a pastel riot of colour which mixed a 1960s sense of fun with a millennial take on cool. Geometric prints both large and small featured on structured mini dresses and loose, sheer tops. Floaty maxi dresses were contrasted by tailored blazers styled with bright bralets, all featuring the brand’s custom kaleidoscopic prints.
“Holographic embroidery, dextrously hand-cut appliqués of triangles, squares, diamond shapes, and the grading play a role in building on the prismatic theme,” Lakme Fashion Week announced on Facebook.
The collection was immediately available to purchase from the brand’s e-commerce store as the showcase went live, enabling people to shop the runway. The brand’s fashion film to accompany the collection was lighthearted and fun, reflecting a collective desire for carefree fun.
“The silhouettes are holiday ready - flowing maxi and mini dresses to kick back and let loose and tailored co-ord sets with sporty elements, to acknowledge our pursuits towards wellness and fitness,” Pankaj and Nidhi said about their collection on their Facebook page.
“The fabrics are sheer, translucent, breathable and easy to wear.”
