Anders Colding Friis, CEO at Pandora, said about the launch: "The US is one of the most developed online markets in the world today, and to open our own e-store in the country is an important new step for us. We are encouraged by what we have seen from our online offering in Europe and hope we can continue the positive trend in the US."

With the exception of the new U.S platform, present in all 50 states as well as Puerto Rico, the Danish jewelry company's e-stores are all currently based in Europe, specifically in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland and the UK.

Pandora jewellery is sold in more than 90 countries on six continents through approximately 9,900 points of sale, including more than 1,400 concept stores. The company employs more than 11,400 people worldwide, with approximately 7,900 located in Thailand, where the company manufactures its jewelry.

In 2014, Pandora's total revenue was DKK 11.9 billion ($1.7bn/£1.15bn).
