Page Industries Q3 profit rises 22 percent to Rs 102 crore

Page Industries, the exclusive licensee of Jockey International Inc (USA), has reported a 22 percent rise in its net profit to Rs 102 crore ($14.3 million) for the third quarter ended December 2018. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 83 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal.

Page Industries revenue also witnessed a steep rise during the quarter growing at 19 percent to Rs 738 crore compared to Rs 621 crore in the same period last fiscal.
 
The company’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) increased 28 percent year-on-year to Rs 165 crore.

On the back of a strong third quarter, the company’s total net sales during the 9 months period ended December 31, 2018, stand at Rs 2272 crore while its total net profit this year is Rs 319 crore.
 
Page Industries has the exclusive right to manufacture, distribute and market innerwear cum leisurewear products under the ‘Jockey’ brand in India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, and UAE.
 
It currently has around 470 stores across India and is also present across other retail formats like multi-brand outlets, large format stores and more.
