Page Industries Q2 profit jumps 10 percent to Rs 93 crore

Page Industries witnessed a 10 percent jump in its year on year net profit at Rs 93 crore (approx $13.1 million) in the quarter ended September 2018. It had reported a profit of Rs 84 crore in the same quarter for the last financial year.

The company’s revenue also rose 10 percent at Rs 691 crore against Rs 626 crore it reported during the last fiscal. Its operating profit or EBITDA was up 11 percent at Rs 143 crore, while the margin was at 21 percent.
 
The company has massive expansion plans for India and will be opening around 500 exclusive brand outlets by end of the fiscal year 2020.

Page is also looking to strengthen its online network by partnering with e-commerce firms and has also invested heavily in building its own online store to cash in on the e-commerce boom in the country.
 
Page Industries has the exclusive right to manufacture, distribute and market innerwear cum leisurewear products under the ‘Jockey’ brand in India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, and UAE.
 
It currently has around 470 stores across India and is also present across other retail formats like multi-brand outlets, large format stores and more.
