Centric Software, a firm specialised in software solutions for product life cycle management, recently bought by French software group Dassault Systèmes, has announced its deployment on the Indian retail market, a further step in its international expansion, reaching a country where the consumption of fashion products is set to skyrocket.

Centric Software said it works with nearly 700 fashion brands - Centric Software

India is a strategic market for Centric Software. Besides having a 4.5% share of the global textile trade, India is set to become one of the world’s largest consumer goods markets. Its textile and apparel domestic market is currently worth an estimated €52 billion annually ($58 billion), and is forecast to reach €126 billion by 2021.

To launch its products on the Indian market, Centric Software will stage a series of conferences, starting on November 28 in Delhi, then on November 30 in Mumbai and on December 4 in Bangalore. “There are thousands of local and international brands and retailers doing business in India, and they increasingly need to be able to offer more innovative products faster,” said Fabrice Canonge, vice-president of global sales for Centric Software. “A fast time-to-market, a rapid response to market needs and truly collaborative sourcing are the keys to remain competitive,” added Canonge.

Centric Software says it is working with over 700 fashion brands worldwide, among them Marc Jacobs, Wolf Lingerie, Aubade, Calvin Klein, Mizuno, Crocs, Lancaster, Eden Park, Nina Ricci, Delvaux, Tape à L’œil, Yoox Net-A-Porter, Icebreaker and groups like Kering, Etam and Beaumanoir. In the autumn 2018, the software firm launched a new virtual prototyping tool developed in partnership with the Fast Retailing group.
