P&G Hygiene’s sales up 23 percent to Rs 699 crore, profit rises 8 percent

Personal care products manufacturer Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care (P&GHHC) witnessed an 8 percent surge in its net profit to Rs 90 crore ($12.9 million) for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2019.

The company’s revenue jumped 23 percent to Rs 699 crore with feminine care and healthcare businesses recording double-digit growth during the quarter. P&GHHC follows a July-June financial year.
 
“We have delivered strong double-digit growth for the third consecutive quarter this year driven by robust volume growth, category development, and execution excellence,” said Madhusudan Gopalan, managing director, P&GHHC said in a statement.

P&G runs three business entities in India. Gillette India Ltd and Procter and Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd are listed firms while Procter and Gamble Home Products Pvt Ltd is a 100% subsidiary of the parent company.
 
P&G India has a strong pan India presence, especially in the beauty and grooming segment.
