P&G Health Hygiene Q3 profit jumps 8 percent to Rs 98 crore

Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd saw it profit for the quarter ended March 31 jump 8 percent to Rs 98 crore ($13.3 million), while its revenue grew by 16 percent at Rs 760 crore.

The company’s feminine care and health care business delivered strong double-digit sales growth in the quarter.
 
P&G said that its superior product mix, higher productivity coupled with constructive market disruption helped it deliver a profitable quarter amid the Covid-19 disruptions.

Commenting on the results, Madhusudan Gopalan, managing director at Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd, in a statement said: “In a challenging environment, we delivered double-digit profitable growth for the third consecutive quarter this year. Our strategy of driving superiority, improving productivity, leading constructive disruption, and strengthening our organization and culture has enabled us to consistently deliver results and continue to be the right strategies to deliver balanced growth in the long-term."
 
“As the country faces the second wave of the pandemic, we continue to focus on protecting the health and safety of our people, serving the Indian consumers with our health and hygiene products, and supporting communities in need through our relief efforts,” he added.
 
P&G retails a wide range of personal care brands in India including Olay, Wella, and Pantene, among others.
