Jewellery brand Outhouse opened the Atelier designer showroom on day one of the joint Fashion Design Council of India x Lakmé Fashion Week on March 23 with a glittering, luxury take on early 2000's glamour.

Outhouse’s new collection ‘OH Dopamine’ was a fun, youthful take on the ideas of self expression and individuality. Models walked the ramp as if they had just recorded a viral TikTok video wearing skin-tight bodysuits, distressed denim, and statement jewellery.

Notable items included oversized, embellished sunglasses and lip rings, diamanté chain-mail mini bags, and stacked floral-shaped bangles. The rainbow hues, beads, and gender-fluid designs encapsulated the current early 2000's trend and showed that Outhouse has its sights firmly set on Gen-Z shoppers. However, the collection remained versatile with brand classics including monogrammed shoulder bags and cocktail rings.

“From an idyllic escape into the world of fantasies to an eclectic sense of being one’s unapologetic self, the designers rediscover the joys in the little memories from their past by diving into the exuberant spirit of the 2000's,” the FDCI wrote to announce the live runway broadcast on Facebook.

Outhouse may be a jewellery brand but it is fast branching out into resort and swimwear as well as handbags. The brand’s runway show on Wednesday afternoon illustrated Outhouse’s expanding product selection and hinted that this expansion is not slowing down any time soon.

FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week launched on March 23 and runs until March 27 at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium at India Gate in New Delhi. Physical runway shows are also broadcast live on the organisers’ respective websites and social media accounts this season.
