Osprey continues its European ascent. The American brand, specialising in backpacks for outdoor activities, has announced a 26% rise in like-for-like annual revenue for its 2014-15 fiscal year, which closed at the end of July. Osprey has thus topped the £20 million mark (€27 million).

The Californian brand, founded in 1974, has set up new European headquarters to bolster this growth. Still based in Poole, on England's southern coast, Osprey has now moved to new headquarters, in a state-of-the-art, three-storey building extending over 1,000 m² called 'Talon House', a reference to the brand's iconic 'Talon' backpack.

Managing Director Europe Rob Wylie explained in a press release how the move represented an investment to the tune of €2.7 million. "The move involves Osprey's commercial, marketing, web, graphics, logistics and financial departments, as well as customer services."

At the same time, Osprey Europe is adding a new logistics facility looking after product distribution throughout the Old Continent, located in the Netherlands.

Osprey currently claims a European network of some 600 stores and retailers.
