“We thank Navnit for his contribution towards OnePlus India,” said the business in a statement to the Economic Times. “He has played an instrumental role in managing the India business over the last three years, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.”

OnePlus remains committed to its business in India and plans to continue to strengthen its operations in the country. Nakra had joined OnePlus India in 2020 as vice president and chief strategy officer and was later promoted to CEO.

“I have decided to move on from OnePlus,” wrote Nakra in a letter to the OnePlus community, ET Telecom reported. “I intend to follow my passion and spend quality time with my family… it has been a pleasure to have been a part of our amazing community- even though I am no longer part of the business team, I hope you all would give me the privilege of being a part of the OnePlus Community.”

OnePlus was launched in 2013 by Pete Lau and Carl Pei and the Chinese brand has become a well known wearables brand in India, as well as retailing smartphones in the country, according to its India specific website.
