Luxury multi-brand boutique chain Ogaan has partially reopened its stores in New Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai with all new collections, displays, and health and safety measures.

As clothing stores across India tentatively reopen under the extended pan-India lockdown, Ogaan stores have reopened on all odd calendar days of the month, the business announced on Facebook.

“We are maintaining the best sanitisation standards to ensure safe shopping,” wrote the luxury boutique chain.

Each Ogaan store also has a dedicated staff member on hand to assist customers with home shopping, the business announced on Facebook, sharing their phone numbers for communication via WhatsApp.

Ogaan originally launched its new shopping service in March, before the official nationwide lockdown began to enable customers to keep shopping from the safety of their homes. The business is now operating the service alongside its brick-and-mortar stores.

Ogaan’s Malcha Marg store in New Delhi reopened with an all new collection and display of womenswear designer Kiran Uttam Ghosh’s spring/summer 2020 collection. Ogaan’s Khan Market store reopened with a dedicated section for Aneeth Arora’s sustainable brand Péro’s latest collection.

Ogaan specialises in Indian luxury fashion and is encouraging shoppers to ‘Shop Indian Designers’ on its social media. As lockdown continues and consumer sentiment remains muted on a backdrop of economic uncertainty, Indian designers are hoping that consumers increase their support of Indian brands and businesses in the post-Covid-19 future. The government has also been vocal about the need to ‘shop Indian’.
