Odhni partners with Miss and Mrs International India 2019 as Wardrobe Partner

Ethnic wear brand Odhni participated in Miss and Mrs International India 2019 as the event’s Wardrobe Partner and held a runway show and collection launch to promote sustainable fashion.

Odhni teamed up with the beauty pageant Miss and Mrs International India 2019 to create one of the first pageants that showcased clothing made from recycled and reused materials in India. The brand showcased its sustainable ethnic designs on the runway and launched its latest collection for the first time, according to the brand’s press release. The event took place on October 12 at the Kingdom of Dreams in Gurugram.

“It is a moment of great honour for the entire Odhni Family to be a part of such an iconic beauty pageant,” said the brand’s directors Puneet and Yatin Jain, according to their brand’s press release. “In a progressive society like ours, people are being more conscious of climate change and are trying their best to save the planet by contributing in various capacities. And it is heartening to note that the fashion industry is talking about sustainable fashion to foster change in the industry.”

The pageant was won by Ms Tanushree from Delhi and attended by fashion designer Haneet Bhasin Vohra. Bollywood celebrities Dia Mirza and Sonnalli Seygall chaired the jury.
