Nykaa x Aveda opens in Khar, Mumbai

Omni-channel beauty giant Nykaa has opened a new salon store in partnership with Estee Lauder  hair care brand Aveda. The new retail and salon outlet is located in Mumbai’s bustling shopping district Khar. 

The new Nykaa x Aveda salon and store has opened its doors to the public, Nykaa announced on Facebook. The store retails both a selection of Nykaa’s best-selling products and the Aveda haircare range and offers a wide range of hair care services as well as spa treatments, manicures and pedicures, and makeup services among others. 
 
Nykaa and Aveda opened their first joint salon store in India in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout in April this year. The businesses plan to continue to open the retail concept across India’s metros. 

Aveda has worked with Nykaa for over six years. As well as distributing it through other channels, Nykaa also retails Aveda’s hair care products on its e-commerce store.  

“India is an emerging priority market for the Estee Lauder Companies,” said Aveda’s parent company ELCA Cosmetics’ general manager Rohan Vaziralli about the brand’s India expansion, ET Retail reported. “We've been focused on two things - one is sustainable growth. And along the way, we want to make sure that we're being locally relevant and driving innovation and products suited to our Indian consumers.”
