Nykaa opens first store in Lucknow, UP

Multi-brand beauty retailer Nykaa opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, at the Sahara Ganj Mall on August 19.

As Nykaa continues its pan-India expansion, the beauty business has made its debut in Lucknow. Nykaa opened a Nykaa Luxe store in the city, its brand-focused retail concept that concentrates on more upmarket international beauty brands as well as its own private label offerings.

The store launched on Monday along with the new Huda Beauty collection. Iraqi-American influencer Huda Kattan’s beauty brand Huda Beauty is one of the main international brands that often feature in Nykaa Luxe stores along with others such as Estée Lauder and Clinique.

Nykaa’s private label new arrivals also have a dedicated section in the new store including its new selection of Ultra Matte lipsticks and nail varnishes. Other featured brands include skincare lines Laneige, The Face Shop, Tony Moly, and Kama Ayurveda and cosmetics brands Wet n Wild, Flower, and Makeup Revolution. 

Nykaa, which was founded by entrepreneur Falguni Nayar in 2012, is working towards an India brick-and-mortar store count of 90 by 2020. Other recent store openings for Nykaa Luxe and Nykaa On Trend include those in Powai, Mumbai, Guwahati, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.
