Nykaa opens On Trend store in Chennai

Multi-brand beauty retailer Nykaa opened one of its ‘On Trend’ stores for popular products in Chennai’s Forum Vijaya Mall on March 4, featuring brands including Burberry, Smashbox, and Huda Beauty, among others.

As Nykaa continues omni-channel expansion across India, the brand opened another store in Chennai on Wednesday, it announced on Facebook. Nykaa’s latest On Trend store is designed to showcase products that are highly popular on its e-commerce store with a millennial target audience.

The Chennai store launched with dedicated sections for brands including Estée Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Smashbox, Huda Beauty, Kay Beauty, Farsali, L.A. Girl, Milani, and Burberry, among others. Nykaa’s private label brand Nykaa Cosmetics also has its own section in the store.

Nykaa already has one of its ‘Luxe’ stores for premium brand products in Chennai’s Forum Vijaya Mall. The brand held a masterclass with makeup artist Shalini Chopra at the store on March 5, to promote a range of brands including Maybelline, Nyx, and Mac Cosmetics, among others, and showcase how their latest products can be used.

Entrepreneur, Falguni Nayar, launched Nykaa as an online beauty retailer before launching brick-and-mortar stores across India. The brand aims to open around 150 stores in the coming five years and expand into tier 2 and 3 locations to meet the growing rural demand for beauty brands.
