Nykaa launches 'Beauty Bar' in Indore
Omni-channel beauty giant Nykaa held an interactive beauty event in Indore to showcase a range of new collections from both Indian and international brands with a pop-up event in partnership with a number of local influencers. The event was designed to boost customer engagement in the city.
The Indore edition of Nykaa’s new travelling beauty event Nykaa Beauty Bar featured a range of product demonstrations by makeup artists who shared their tips with and answered questions from the audience, Nykaa announced on Facebook. The event took place in association with Minimalist, Neutrogena, Dot and Key, and Kay by Katrina and showcased new collections and products by the skincare and beauty brands.
Online shopping grew significantly in popularity in India during the pandemic as shoppers stayed home during lockdowns and beauty and personal care products were a top selling category. This has been a boon to businesses operating online but retailers with offline stores have needed to add more interactive and engaging features in their store to give customers a reason to visit them in person.
Nykaa has responded to this by increasing the technology in its brick-and-mortar stores and hosting interactive, knowledge sharing sessions to provide value to customers beyond the products it retails. Following the Indore edition of Nykaa Beauty Bar, Nykaa plans to take the event to multiple Indian cities and will announced the locations in the near future.
