Nykaa launches 111Skin in Indian market

Multi-brand, omni-channel beauty retailer Nykaa has launched UK-based skincare brand 111Skin in the Indian market through its e-commerce store.

The brand has launched 52 products on Nykaa’s e-commerce store with items ranging from face and eye masks to facial serums, creams, cleansers, and oils with the aim of offering a comprehensive skincare solution. The product line centres around the brand’s signature NAC Y2 compound which is designed to help skin to recover from trauma.  
 
The luxury brand’s most expensive product on Nykaa is its ‘Celestial Black Diamond Day Cream Light’ which is priced at Rs 89,120, one of the most expensive products Nykaa has listed to date. The cream sold out soon after the launch demonstrating a tangible consumer appetite for luxury skincare in India. 

UK-based cosmetic surgeon Yannis Alexandrides and his wife Eva Alexandrides launched 111Skin with the aim of offering effective post-surgery skincare which would help to minimise the after-effects of the procedures Alexandrides carried out.

The positive response Alexandrides received for the skincare from patients led him to launch the line as a fully fledged brand. The brand is named after Alexandrides’ 111 Harley Street clinic in London, UK and counts Priyanka Chopra Jonas as a celebrity fan, Vogue India reported.
