Nykaa Fashion expands portfolio with the launch of kidswear
Multi-brand fashion retailer Nykaa Fashion has strengthened its portfolio with the launch of kidswear on its online fashion portal.
The company sees huge potential for growth in the kidswear segment, especially in the 0-14 years apparel segment. Nykaa is also planning to build the infant wear and footwear business along with a few niche subcategories like ethnic wear, and party wear.
Nykaa’s kidswear category will have over 30 international to Indian kidswear brands across apparel, footwear, sportswear, toys, and other accessories.
The portfolio includes brands like Gap, Mothercare, Pepe Jeans, Guess, Skechers, Oui Oui, Puma, Ralph Lauren Junior, Allen Solly Junior, The Children’s Place as well as homegrown labels such as PS Kids, And, Biba, Ruff Kids, Gini & Jony, Miniklub, FrangiPani, Little Muffet, and Vanshika Ahuja.
Commenting on the launch, Adwaita Nayar, CEO of Nykaa Fashion, in a statement said: “Kidswear is one of the biggest emerging categories and as more of India comes online, creating a destination for this category online has become a focus for Nykaa Fashion. We will bring together the best of brands with our signature ‘high on style’ approach, focus on discovery and curation via technology, and will strive to serve both existing and new customers well."
Nykaa Fashion is the clothing and accessories arm of omni-channel beauty retailer Nykaa, which was launched by entrepreneur Falguni Nayar in 2012. Nykaa Fashion currently retails from its dedicated e-commerce store and Nykaa has both an online platform and a large number of brick-and-mortar stores and kiosks across India.
