Nike unveils Team India’s new ODI jersey

Sportswear giant Nike, the official apparel sponsor of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has officially launched the ODI (one-day international) kit for the men’s and women’s national teams.
 

The new team kit draws its inspirations from the young new generation of India and has new an innovative design coupled with material combinations to emphasize a multi-dimensional slash design and movement approach.
 
Talking about the new kit, Virat Kohli, Captain, Indian men’s cricket team, said "Similar to millions of Indians across the country, this team embodies a fearless spirit that we truly believe in and that’s what the world sees every time we step into the field. This new team kit is a testament to our style of play, it is inspired by us and the new India."

Keerthana Ramakrishnan, marketing head at Nike India Pvt. Ltd added: “At Nike, it is in our DNA to listen to the voice of the athlete. We are glad to take inspiration from the fearless attitude of this team and combine it with some of Nike’s renowned innovations from across the globe to bring to life this new ODI kit for the national cricket team.”
 
Nike claims that the new team India’s kits are eco-friendly and have a lower environmental impact as they have been created using recycled polyester.
 
The new team India jerseys will be available at select Nike points of sale across India.
