While terms of the purchase were not disclosed, the U.S. sportswear giant said that the acquisition of Invertex "will deepen our bench of digital talent and further our capabilities in computer vision and artificial intelligence as we create the most compelling Nike consumer experience at every touch point."

Based in Tel Aviv, Israel -- a nation known for its start-up and digital company ingenuity -- Invertex, a computer vision firm, referred to its anticipation in helping "drive the Consumer Direct Offense" for Nike.

“Nike’s connection to and understanding of their consumer is unsurpassed and we look forward to joining their team," said David Bleicher, CEO of Invertex.

The Middle Eastern technology company works with mass customisation and produces mobile applications that can analyse the body in 3-D, assisting customers with purchasing decisions.
