Nicobar launches loungewear line
Clothing and lifestyle brand Nicobar has launched a loungewear line named ‘Nico Lounge’ to offer a selection of relaxed dresses and separates for the summer season.
Nicobar’s new dedicated loungewear line sees the brand continue to expand its product categories towards encompassing a comprehensive lifestyle offering. Nico Lounge has the same modern, relaxed aesthetic as the brand’s womenswear line with more fluid cuts and paired down garments. The line is now available on Nicobar’s dedicated e-commerce store and in its brick-and-mortar outlets, the brand announced on Facebook.
The line is zip-free and button-free to maximise comfort and ease of getting dressed, according to the brand. Numerous garments in the collection are made from Bemberg, a textile which is a naturally-sourced, regenerated cellulose fibre which is both renewable and biodegradable.
Other garments are made from 100% handloom cotton and all items are made in India. Notable items from the collection include camisoles and slips with oversized, monochrome floral prints, black tunic dresses, and Ikat kaftans.
Nicobar was founded by Simran Lal, daughter of Good Earth founder Anita Lal, and her husband Raul Rai. The brand began as a clothing, jewellery, and accessories label and branched out into homeware with a dedicated line in 2020. The brand launched its most recent store in April this year in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar district.
