Khajoor’s debut collection features chunky knitwear in natural hues, graphic patterns, and a modern take on the vintage aesthetic. With roll-neck jumpers, sweater dresses, cardigans, beanies, and crochet sets in natural lahauli wool among other designs, the collection is designed as a selection of timeless pieces, according to Soni. The brand is currently taking pre-orders on its maiden-collection through direct message on Facebook and Instagram as well as on messaging service WhatsApp, it announced on Facebook.

The brand recently launched a mini fashion film to showcase its collection which features music by Sessa and celebrates the craftspeople who manufactured the brand’s first garments. Khajoor, named after the Hindi word for a date palm tree, has been sharing photos of its craftspeople on its Facebook and Instagram to highlight its focus on creating sustainable employment for artisans in Himachal Pradesh.

“The brand strives to thoughtfully design pieces that cultivate heritage through time-honoured craft techniques, resources and artisans of the country,” Soni told Not Just a Label, about the brand. “Our core values include being considerate of the environment we live in, supporting the local textile industry and to empower artisans while creating a positive impact for them and their communities.”
