Kumari launched a line of up-cycled 'Twice Loved' sarees to repurpose textiles and reduce waste, the brand announced on Facebook. The brand mends any imperfections and rips in the vintage sarees with patch and appliqué details, in order to give them new life and an original style. Sourcing the pre-loved sarees from family collections and textile dealers, the brand also uses kinstugi-inspired embroidery to adorn the textiles.

The brand first launched exclusively at Ogaan’s store in Hauz Khas, New Delhi on November 22, 2019. Kumari’s range of sarees are now also available on Ogaan’s dedicated e-commerce store.

Kumari’s first launch was a range of “saree dresses," which resemble a saree but are in fact, a stitched dress with a long piece of fabric that can be styled a number of ways to resemble the draped garment. The brand’s signature product comes in a wide range of textiles including its first exclusive "rose print” and monochrome options, which launched recently and come in pastel hues including mint green, pastel pink, and lavender.

Designer Rashmi Varma launched Kumari in partnership with Malika Verma Kashyap to celebrate Indian design. The brand takes Varma’s already popular saree dress concept and makes it available to customers at a more accessible price point.
