Neeta Lulla, who founded her eponymous brand in 2004, specialises in opulent occasion wear and delivered nothing less at the finale of Bangalore Times Fashion Week on June 2. The designer presented a glittering collection of womenswear and some menswear and celebrities including Prajwal Devaraj walked the ramp with the designer.

Vaisayika, which means “sensuality” in Sanskrit, took its inspiration from the Osmanthus flower which is a traditional symbol of love. The collection was also inspired by Edwardian silhouettes and Indian textiles.

The second day of the two-day event also saw Fulki by Monali and Rocky Ranka present a collection titled “Summer Solstice” featuring a vibrant colour scheme and asymmetrical traditional wear. Celebrity actress Sree Leela walked as the designers’ showstopper in a lehenga set with an organza waterfall cape to conclude a glittering showcase that brought to mind North Indian travellers.

The Koskii presented an occasion wear collection and Asha Bhat walked as the showstopper in a champagne hued lehenga. The collection titled “Ethnic Utopia” was inspired by the idea of a contemporary princess. Other participating designers included Madame Fashions, Aviva Bidapa, and Paresh Lamba Signatures, Ritu Kumar, and Samant Chauhan among others.
