Needledust steps into men's footwear
Needledust, a brand known for its women’s juttis, has stepped into men’s footwear with its new category launch. The brand’s first collection for the men’s line is designed for the autumn/ winter wedding and festive season, the brand announced on Facebook.
The new line is titled ‘Needledust Man’ and it has launched on the brand’s dedicated e-commerce store as well as in its brick-and-mortar stores. Juttis in the new line are each given a man’s name such as Rafe, Romeo, and Zale and the collection has a colour palette of dark and neutral tones with some traditional deep reds thrown in as well.
“Ranging from the understated yet classic for the festivities, spanning into a contemporary spin off for the modern, experimental man, this is the new face of the modern day jutti,” Needledust wrote on Facebook as it launched the category.
With subtle embroidered embellishments, the juttis have a sleek, modern feel. The shoes are handcrafted by Needledust’s team of artisans using traditional craft techniques and luxury materials.
Needledust opened its most recent store in Mumbai’s Jio World Drive at BKC. The brand was launched by Shirin Mann Sangha in New Delhi in 2014 with the aim of offering bridal juttis for modern women looking for a luxury option, according to the brand’s website.
