National Skin Institute to host Glamourholic Makeup Carnival in Mumbai

The National Skin Institute will host the Glamourholic Makeup Carnival on June 22 at the Odeum in Mumbai to promote careers in the makeup industry and makeup brands.

The upcoming event will feature a number of live makeup demonstrations, talks on career opportunities as a makeup artist in India, entertainment, and the chance to try a number of makeup brands. Industry professionals will share their success stories and attendees will be presented with a certificate of attendance. The event will also feature a “Glam Fashion Show”, according to the National Skin Institute’s social media.

Aiming to enthuse Mumbai residents about the beauty industry, one of India’s fastest growing industries, the event will also feature prizes and a lucky draw. India’s beauty industry has grown greatly in the past few years, both online and in brick-and-mortar retail. 

A growing number of international brands have launched in India in partnership with Indian multi-brand retailers such as Nykaa and Purplle and domestic brands are launching at a swift pace. The natural skincare and cosmetics industry in India is becoming especially popular with Ayurvedic and chemical-free products rising in popularity making makeup an industry to watch.

The National Skin Institute offers training courses in makeup, hair, spa, cosmetology, clinical cosmetology, and clinical trichology. The institute is based in Mumbai.
