The National Silk Expo launched at the Hotel Tip Top Plaza in Thane, Mumbai, on August 8 and welcomed shoppers from across the city to join its exhibition of Indian silks, garments, and accessories. The shopping fair aims to promote Indian silks and cottons, as well as smaller businesses that retail such products. The expo was also recently inaugurated in the Patna, Bihar, on August 3 by Dr Rashmi Mayukh and Dr Sanjay Mayukh for a similar expo.

The expo ran in Hyderabad from July 27 to August 4 at the Sri Sathya Sai Nigamagamam in Hyderabad for a Varmaha Laxmi Festival Special. The event drew a diverse crowd of customers and featured a large selection of silk and cotton sarees, suits, dress materials, fashion jewellery, and accessories.

Prior to Hyderabad, the exhibition had travelled to Rajkot for an event at the Nutan Nagar Hall from July 23 to 28 and ran concurrently in Coimbatore from July 24 to 29 at the Suguna Kalyan Mandapam.

The exhibition had travelled to Gurugram from July 20 to 28 for an expo at the Bristol Hotel and has also visited New Delhi’s Constitution Club of India earlier in the season.
