Nappa Dori aims to open a second UK brick-and-mortar location in the next calendar year, the brand’s founder, Gautam Sinha, told the Press Trust of India in an interview.

The store will be added to the brand’s recently opened London flagship, which features the company's full selection of leather bags and accessories, as well as a café.

"London was being planned for almost two years as we were scouting for the right location that complimented the brand and also offered a diverse clientele for us,” said Sinha. "Seven Dials offers that perfect mix – there is the tourist traffic but also a more discerning audience who are aware of the eclectic mix of brands here."

Nappa Dori also aims to enter the European and U.S. markets in the near future, Sinha said. With a current total of six flagship stores in India, Nappa Dori also plans to open two new brick-and-mortar stores in the country.

Sinha also aims to use his brand’s new international platform to raise awareness of Indian design talent.

"It still baffles me why an Indian fashion brand hasn't made a major play in the global market,” said Sinha.

“Nappa Dori is definitely the first move towards changing this. There are a lot of amazing Indian brands waiting in the wings and you will see a massive change in the global market in the next five-ten years when it comes to Indian brands."
