Namrata Joshipura to showcase her futuristic collection at Lakme Fashion Week

Designer Namrata Joshipura will showcase a futuristic collection on day three of the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week organised in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI).

The designer will give her take on evolution reflected through fashion with this new collection that will feature jumpsuits, bodysuits, blazers, draped dresses, and more.

Commenting on the show, Sunil Sethi, chairman FDCI in a statement said, “We are delighted to present Namrata Joshipura as our FDCI showcase designer as she has not only pioneered modern fashion aesthetic in India but also carved a name for herself across the globe. This showcase is set to enthral audiences at the upcoming edition of Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI and we cannot wait to see the collection on the runway.”

Talking about her collection, Namrata Joshipura added, “I am so pleased to be back at Lakmé Fashion week in partnership with FDCI. Our collection is going to be an exploration of how the fast pace of technology, in particular AI, is going to shape our future, a feeling of nostalgia will help us to anchor to our essential humanity.”

The Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI will be held from March 9 to 12 in Mumbai at Jio World Garden.
