Flipkart’s fashion arm Myntra is boosting its supply chain ahead of its largest sale season of the year and is in the process of hiring around 11,000 seasonal workers in sectors including customer support and last-mile delivery.

As Myntra gears up for its festive sale season, the business is hiring 57% more seasonal workers compared to last lear, ET Bureau reported. In 2020, Myntra hired around 7,000 seasonal workers and is on track to hire 11,000 this year. The business is also offering its frontline workers incentives such as bonuses to keep them on during what it expects to be its busiest time of the year.
“This has been the largest hiring drive ever at Myntra, for on-ground and customer support during any festive season, as we anticipate a strong demand across pin codes for their festive needs,” Myntra’s CEO, Amar Nagaram, told the Economic Times.
The business will soon hold its Big Fashion Festival and it has partnered with casual wear brand US Polo Assn. for the online event, it announced on Facebook. The sale will also be sponsored by Boat and will offer up to 80% discounts on a wide range of fashion brands.
Myntra is launching a wide range of new products ahead of its upcoming sale season to boost customer engagement. Recent launches include ‘Smiley World’ Crocs, casual wear by Moda Rapido, and homeware by FabIndia, the platform announced on Facebook.
