Myntra to launch 'Big Fashion Festival' for festive sale season, expects over four million customers

Flipkart’s online fashion arm Myntra will hold a seven-day ‘Big Fashion Festival’ from October 16 to 22, and expects over four million unique customers.

Myntra is planning to further penetrate rural markets with its upcoming festive sale and expects 50% of total sales from the event to come from tier 2 and 3 locations, ET Retail reported. The e-commerce business has been running regional marketing campaigns and has partnered with over 5,000 brands for the sale.
 
“Myntra’s Big Fashion Festival will offer a specially curated selection of nine lakh styles for consumers across the country, awaiting to bond over the joy of festivities,” said Myntra’s CEO, Amar Nagaram, ET Retail reported.

“The region-specific collection will enable millions of consumers with diverse fashion choices, to celebrate the festive diversity of the country. The consistent momentum in demand observed over the last few months has given impetus to our brand partners, driving deeper collaborations this festive season.”
 
The sale is intended to boost sales, especially for artisans, micro, small, and medium enterprises, and kirana store partners, according to Nagaram. Myntra has also increased its health and safety measures to ensure that its logistics network is protected from coronavirus as much as possible.  
 
“These include, following strict social distancing norms, regular temperature checks, frequent sanitisation of facilities and delivery bags, ensuring the use of PPE’s at all times, frequent hand sanitisation and more,” said Myntra in a statement, encouraging customers to undertake contactless deliveries and use digital payment methods.
