As an increasing number of competitors are emerging in the organised fashion and beauty spaces, Myntra is focusing on building and strengthening its leadership team with a focus on fashion, technology, and pushing internal talent, Sinha told the Economic Times in an interview. Sinha was recently appointed as the business’ CEO from her previous role as vice-president of customer growth, media, and engagement at parent company Flipkart.

“We will scale social commerce,” said Sinha, ET Tech reported. “Since August we have seen great traction amongst consumers, amongst the creator ecosystem and amongst the brands that have partnered with us.”

As part of its move to focus on social commerce, Myntra launched ‘Style Squad’ on February 22 to build stronger connections with influencers and encourage them to use the platform. The move follows on from the business' move to harness social and live commerce during its online sale event at the end of 2021.

“The big disruption through live commerce is yet to happen, which is what we will continue to build for at Myntra,” said Sinha, hinting at future plans. “We cannot talk about acquisitions but partnerships are something which is part of the world we are solving.”
