Myntra records 60 percent growth during EORS event
Flipkart-owned e-commerce firm Myntra registered a 60 percent growth during its recently concluded flagship event 'end of reason sale (EORS)' over the last year.
During the sale event, around 4.2 million customers ordered over 18 million products across several categories on the Myntra platform.
Myntra expects ethnic wear, kidswear, beauty and personal care, and casual wear to contribute to over 50 percent of the overall demand for this EORS, with other important categories being western wear, footwear, sports, and accessories.
Metro cities like Delhi, followed by Bangalore and Mumbai, had the highest number of orders, while tier 2 cities Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar and Dehradun and Imphal, Udaipur and Shillong from tier 3 contributed significantly to the company’s overall sales.
"EORS-14 witnessed approximately 60 per cent growth in demand over the June'20 edition," Myntra CEO, Amar Nagaram, said in a statement.
"Myntra processed more than 11,000 items per minute at peak and has already shipped over 95 per cent of the 18 million items before the conclusion of the event, thanks to the reach of its Kirana network, across 27,000 pin codes. Myntra's Kirana network is catering to 80 per cent of the overall deliveries," he added.
The bi-annual EORS of Myntra now in its 14th edition was held recently between July 3 and 8.
