Myntra names Virat Kohli as new celebrity brand ambassador

Flipkart’s fashion arm Myntra has named cricketer Virat Kohli as its new menswear brand ambassador. In his new role, Kohli stars in Myntra’s new advertising film ‘Be Extraordinary Every Day’, designed to engage his fans across India. 

“I am thrilled to be a part of Myntra's latest ad film and represent the most-preferred fashion destination in India as its brand ambassador,” said Kohli in a press release on April 12. “As someone who likes to keep it casual and fun when it comes to dressing up, the campaign 'Be Extraordinary Every Day' resonates at a personal level with me, thus making this association much more special. I am excited for my fans to see me in a new avatar.”
 
The film was created with Tilt Brand Solutions and production house Zig Zag films. The advert runs for 30 seconds and has been made for digital, television, and social media platforms. In the film, Kohli is astounded by his friend’s stylist outfit and proceeds to showcase a range of men's casual wear, footwear, watches, and headphones among other multi-brand products.

We believe that this association will build salience with Myntra and enable us to connect with his fan base.”
