The fashion e-commerce portal Myntra’s senior vice president for product, Sharath Bulusu, has left the business as the Walmart-owned firm continues to see turnover in its senior management.

Sharath Bulusu Will leave Myntra for Google - Myntra

Sources told TNN that Bulusu has left his role on Myntra’s senior executive team to return to Google where he was previously an executive. Google India confirmed to the Times of India that Bulusu will be returning to the business and has been appointed as product management director. Myntra has not yet made a statement on the matter.

Bulusu will follow Myntra’s former CPO Ambarish Kenghe who also left Myntra for Google in 2018. Bulusu had joined Myntra in 2016 during a recruitment drive by the business and was an integral part of the business’ product team.

News of Bulusu’s departure follows a recent India visit by Walmart’s international CEO and president Judith McKenna and prior visit by Walmart’s CEO Doug McMillon. McKenna visited Bengaluru to speak with Myntra employees and assured them that Myntra will remain independent of its parent company Flipkart moving forward. Walmart acquired Flipkart and its fashion subsidiaries Myntra and Jabong a year ago.
