Flipkart-owned fashion portal Myntra is said to be in talks to get US brand Under Armour onto its platform, poaching the sportswear brand from bitter rival Amazon, which has exclusive rights.

E-commerce giant Amazon had signed an exclusive deal with the sportswear label to be its sole partner in India a few months back.

Two people aware of the development told the Economic Times that Myntra is in talks with the sports apparel and accessories maker to shift to its platform since the latter is said to be unhappy with the muted response its products are getting in India.

Amazon had announced in March that it has signed an exclusive deal with Under Armour to sell its products in India.

Under Armour’s vice president for omni-channel, Michael Maglin, said: “We continue to have a strong exclusive relationship with Amazon in India as Under Armour’s sole partner for online selling in the country.”

Baltimore-based Under Armour is popular among youngsters in the US and Europe. Over the years it has become a $4.8-billion company, selling products in more than 60 countries.
