Myntra launches 'Teens Store' with over 100 brands
Flipkart’s fashion arm Myntra has announced the launch of its new ‘Teen Store’ as a segment of its e-commerce store dedicated to teen-wear. The online platform will feature over 100 domestic and international brands.
Myntra’s new teen store is designed to address a gap in the Indian market for clothing dedicated to teens and address their specific needs with fashionable clothing options, Myntra announced in a press release. The platform will also offer dedicated content for teens including styling tips and information on trends.
Indian and international brands which will feature their ‘teen’ collections on Myntra’s Teen Store include Justice, CK, UTH by Roadster Life & Co., Tommy Hilfiger, HRX, H&M, Nike, Puma, Adidas, and Mango Teens among others. The store will feature over 20,000 styles for boys and girls, with looks, “specific to teen fashion”, according to Myntra.
Product categories will include festive wear, athleisure, denim, casual wear, ethnic wear, inner-wear, footwear, and accessories. Over the next six months, Myntra aims to increase its product selection to 30,000 styles and is working with brands to create special theme-based collections which will allow it to offer platform-exclusive products.
“As a platform that holistically caters to the fashion needs of all, Myntra is pleased to pioneer the creation of a unique teen-specific offering, solving for a gaping need for teens, a fashion-forward discerning cohort and meaningfully engaging them early in their life cycle,” said Myntra’s senior director of category management Jubi Samuel in a press release. “We are dedicated to working with existing and prospective brands on our platform to create unique experiences for teenagers by truly understanding and catering to their varied needs. Our ‘Teens Store’ would therefore be a one-stop-shop for all the wardrobe needs of teens, helping them immensely in expressing their authentic identities in their formative years.”
“Myntra will offer one of the largest collections of brands, styles, designs and fittings in this segment to suit the ever-evolving fashion needs of teenagers while also being cognisant of affordability and comfort,” said Samuel.
