E-commerce platform Myntra is looking to strengthen its presence in the south Indian market with the appointment of popular actor Samantha Akkineni as its brand ambassador in the region.

Myntra feels that the popularity of the actress in the South Indian market will help drive deeper customer engagement and help acquire new customers from the region.
 
Akkineni as the face of Myntra in the south will be expected to establish a strong connection with its large base of existing customers and also engage with new consumers.

Commenting on the association, Samantha Akkineni, in a statement said: “I am excited about my association with Myntra, a brand renowned for being at the forefront for all things fashion. Fashion has always been an integral part of my life, making this association even more special to me.”
 
Amar Nagaram, CEO at Myntra, added: “Having Samantha on board as our brand ambassador for south is key for building a strong bond with the fashion-forward consumers of the region. Samantha appeals to a wide audience across the southern states and her reach will be crucial in driving deeper customer engagement.”
 
Earlier in the week, Myntra had named Bollywood actress Kiara Advani as its brand ambassador.
