Myntra expects surge in sales from tier 2, 3 cities during EORS
Online fashion retailer Myntra is expecting a surge in sales from tier 2, 3 cities during the upcoming edition of the End of Reason Sale (EORS) from December 22 to 25.
The company has said that it expects these cities to contribute around 60% to the overall sales during the four day event with sales expected to rise at unprecedented 25 times as compared to normal trading days.
Myntra is also expecting to register 1.5 X growth from the previous edition of EORS as 30 million users are likely to shop on the platform. Myntra along with Jabong is expected to touch Rs 1000 crore sales revenue from this sale.
Even though Myntra did not share any revenue numbers for the last EORS it is believed to have clocked sales of over Rs 800 crore at a growth of 56 percent.
Commenting on EORS, Ananth Narayanan, CEO, Myntra-Jabong in a statement said, “With Christmas and New Year around the corner, EORS is coming at the perfect time for customers to revamp their wardrobes. This time, we expect to register a 1.5 X growth over the previous edition of the sale and expect 30 million users on our platforms."
“We have scaled our platform to deal with a whopping 75 million sessions during the event, which is 25% higher than the previous edition of the sale. We strive to provide an exceptional shopping experience to our customers during peak events such as EORS and have increased our delivery speed by 25% to ensure customers get their deliveries in time for New Year’s,” Narayanan further added.
Myntra’s EORS event in June saw a record 1.3 million customers shop on the fashion platform ordering a total of 4.2 million products with sports dominating the sale as the most popular category.
Top global brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Forever 21, Swarovski, Tommy Hilfiger, Jack & Jones, Flying Machine, Marks & Spencer and Mango, along with Myntra’s private labels such as Roadster, HRX, All About You, Anouk and Dressberry, will all be participating in the sale event.
