Myntra acquires master distribution rights for Bebe in India

Myntra’s wholesale entity Myntra Jabong Private Limited has been granted the master distribution and management rights for womenswear brand Bebe in India as it continues to add to its international licensed brands portfolio.

As part of Myntra’s new licensing agreement with Bebe, the business will assist Bebe with its wholesale distribution through a network of independent third-party franchise partners and distributors, the business announced in a press release on Tuesday. 

“Bebe, is an iconic brand with a rich legacy of shaping the fashion choices of millions of women globally and makes for a significant addition to our licensed brands portfolio,” said Flipkart Group’s CXO and chief of its House of Brands Manohar Kamath in a press release. “This association will eventually help bebe to establish a customer base in India.”

Bebe’s designs are tailored to millennials and Gen Z with a wide selection of western style casual and party wear. The brand was founded in the US in 1976 and is most known for its branded rhinestone t-shirts. Bebe is owned and managed by Bluestar Alliance.

“We are excited to be associated with Myntra,” said Bluestar Alliance’s owner and COO Ralph Gindi. “We're looking forward to working together to reach the bebe shopper in this exciting market.”
