Myntra acquires distribution rights for French Connection and FCUK in India
Myntra Jabong Private Limited has acquired the master distribution rights for premium fashion brand French Connection and its subsidiary FCUK in India. Myntra will re-launch the brand in India and assist with wholesale distribution through third-party franchise partners and authorised distributors.
Myntra has further expanded its international licensed brand portfolio by signing an agreement with French Connection, the business announced in a press release on April 20. The brands launched following the deal with a dedicated ‘Online Brand Store’ on Myntra’s e-commerce platform and app.
“We are delighted to have engaged Myntra as our India licensee for French Connection and FCUK,” said French Connection Group’s chairman and director Apinder Ghura in a press release. “I have every confidence in the Myntra team to enable a successful launch and promote the ongoing presence of the brands in India.”
Both brands will offer product categories including t-shirts, shirts, and jeans for men as well t-shirts, tops, jeans, and dresses for women. By having Myntra to distribute its products on a wholesale basis, French Connection aims to tap into Flipkart’s fashion arm’s vast customer base and distribution network.
